The MG helped us purchase our first home at the end of 2017. John Strock, our realtor, helped guide us through the whole process which was extremely helpful to newbies like us. He pointed out things we should pay attention to while we toured houses, advised us on prices and additional fees about certain homes and was always accessible and prompt during communication. Menkiti Group helped us buy and sell a home in spring 2016. Our agent, Jen Frewer, was a steady and guiding force for us through both processes. We met with Jen and Mary Hodges for our listing appointment and immediately knew we were in good hands - they know the market and knew exactly what we needed to do to position our home properly. And we had a full-price offer just days after we listed! The sales team hub made the contract-to-close process absolutely seamless. Great experience! At the same time, we were actively looking for our new home. Jen accompanied us to many listings and provided insight whenever questions arose. We ultimately found a pre-market listing and Jen worked hard to get our offer in and ratified. In fact, the seller (who was represented by another company) commented on what a phenomenal job Jen did throughout the whole transaction - absolutely true. Highly recommend MG Residential for buying and selling a home. They're a top team in the U.S. for very good reason!

I used Menkiti Group as my buying agent. More specifically, Anthony was my agent. He helped me buy a property in Columbia heights. At first, he was friendly and somewhat helpful. The problems right before closing. As we did the final walk through, we find an issue with the microwave. I sent the information he needed to file it with the title company. Long story short, 9 months later I still don't know if he ever did. After closing, he slowly stopped replying to emails calls and texts. I then decided to contact one of his supervisors, Martin. Martin seemed a lot more professional at first, but then went I sent him the invoice he needed, he kept making excuses for why he didn't get it. Needless to say I have given up on this issue and won't use them or recommend them in the future. - Quick Update:Quick update. Menkiti finally resolved this issue.

MG Residential is full service and not lip service. In an era of lip service and high prices MG residential provides small town service and big town knowledge, experience and expertise. As first time homebuyers we expected to be pushed and shoved into a starter home and we couldn't have been more wrong. MG Residential and Anthony Graham in particular made us feel no pressure, never questioned our process and felt like a hybrid between a supportive family member and business partner. We couldn't be happier.

We loved working with Delonte Moore for our home purchase. It was the first time we were buying a home, and he was patient with us as we narrowed down exactly what we were looking for; he often works with first time buyers and is used to being patient. He was very attentive, extremely quick to respond to our emails, and understood that in the DC market, time if of the essence (houses were going on the market and closing bids in an average of 2-4 days max). He was never pushy with us, and let us take the lead on our house hunt. In addition, Menkitti is connected with lenders who will be just as quick to respond (also critically important) and who gave us better rates than our credit union. Buying a home is incredibly stressful, and you feel like you're always worried if you're making the right decision in every direction you turn. At least we felt well cared for with Delonte during the process!

Though it was stressful at times, I am very please with the result. I am happy to be a home owner.Martin & Delonte were very responsive, & open to spending the extra time explaining the process. This is critical for a first time home buyer. Their negotiation tactics proved stellar because I got the property for much less than intended. The down side was just not being totally clear on what the seller was leaving in the home (alarm, basement furniture, etc.) I would have also like it to be pointed out that I didn't have a mail box. We didn't realize until a question was posed in the closing meeting. Other than those two points, I had an excellent experience.

I worked with the Menkiti Group to buy my first condo and also to buy a house. The team provided excellent service on both transactions. They know the DC Real Estate market extremely well and were able to negotiate great deals for me. They really walked me through the process on the first transaction and made sure the loan process went smoothly. I purchased a foreclosed home on the second purchase and was up against 17 other investors. They helped me win the contract and were a fantastic resource as we went through the renovation. We worked with the Menkiti group on our first home purchase, which was a short sale, in Prince George's County, Maryland. Going into it, many people warned us about short sales, and cautioned us about what could go wrong with them. But we quickly realized we were in great hands with our realtor, Delonte! While many short sales can take months (or in some cases, years!) to go to closing, ours was complete in just two months. Delonte helped us through the process, kept us updated daily on the status of things, and offered great insight into the entire home-buying process. By working with the Menkiti Group and their agent, we knew we were in good hands with a well-established, trusted, and knowledgeable real-estate group.

Buying a home is complicated enough, but working with The Menkiti Group makes it even harder. I highly recommend NOT buying any homes from their real estate team. Here's a taste of what you may be in for: (1) The POC repeatedly changed throughout the process, and the staff at the Menkiti Group were extremely slow in responding to us. Woefully non-responsive. We had to send multiple emails before we heard back from them -- response times took more than a week at times, which made it difficult for us to move the process forward. Luckily, we had a 60-day contract of sale. (2) A title issue came up with our parking space, and Menkiti Group totally fumbled it. Even with a 60-day contract of sale, due to their lack of responsiveness and their lack of focus on the issue, the parking space title issue was not resolved until the week of closing. (3) They never cleaned up from the open house—they left their trash throughout the unit. We found it when we were moving in. They left flyers form the open house on the kitchen counter top, paperwork with details about other nearby properties, a handful of business cards from people who attended the open house, and a large Open House lawn sign in the closet. (4) As icing on the cake, the Menkiti Group provided NO KEYS at our settlement and then they LIED about not having keys. They said that the seller left the keys at the front desk at our new building, which was NOT TRUE. Our settlement agent somehow got the seller's mom on the phone — and she promised to Express Mail the next day. We've owned the place for four days and we still haven't received our keys. (5) They also gave the seller a credit out of our buyer's agent's commission without reducing their own commission, which was not made transparent until the week of closing. Simply awful experience. Hesitate before entering into a business relationship with this group.
